What changes for whoever builds the product, not for whoever uses it
Observations describe how people’s behaviour changes. Organisations do not change behaviour the same way: they bear the consequences of it — in brand representation, in automated comparison, in reputational risk, in the regulatory obligations that now sit inside the design perimeter.
These are not choices to make — those are in Decisions — but given conditions, the starting point from which decisions get made.
- Representation forms beyond owned channels: most sources that shape brand representation sit outside owned channels.
- The brand reduced to comparable attributes: agentic comparison prioritises structured, verifiable attributes, not brand positioning.
- When AI gets the brand wrong: incorrect model claims may have no direct correction channel.
- The regulatory perimeter: from 2026, compliance sits inside the design perimeter — disclosure, content marking, minors’ consent, accessibility.
What these effects rest on
The reflections on these pages rest, as far as possible, on the sources that make up the literature review.
